Glitch is excited to reveal who will have their work featured in our Student Showcase this year at the State Fair! Drop by our booth at the Driven to Discover building between 9am and 9pm on August 31st and September 1st to see these projects for yourself and chat with some inspiring student creators.
Ryan Thompson – Semiotic Audio in Competitive eSports Video Games

Ryan has created an in-depth visual and audio presentation that investigates how sound effects can affect gameplay. From healing wind chimes to Sona’s strings-based attacks, learn the diverse sound families of League of Legends and how they impact player performance.
Charles McGregor – Glitch in the System

This 2D shooter not only has a great name, but also action-packed gameplay and haunting techno tunes. Play as a mysterious agent who, after finding some dangerous intel, must fight his way out of an enemy-filled military base. Check out his game here.
Charles McGregor – Fingeance

This quirky shooter game tells the tale of a disgruntled fish who can’t breathe under water. Armed with a torpedo-launcher and a grudge, now is the time for him to seek vengeance… or should we say, Fingeance!
Guangcong “Cheny” Luo – Pokèmon Showdown

Engage in Pokèmon battles at the fair with Cheny’s awesomely addictive battle simulator. Settle once and for all which of you and your friends is the true PokèMaster! Check out the project website here.
