Dodge Everything: Introducing HyperDot
HyperDot is an action arcade game rooted in minimalist design, maximum challenge, and infinite flexibility.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN, April 4, 2019 — Tribe Games and GLITCH announce HyperDot, a meticulously handcrafted action arcade game. It features a fast-paced campaign mode, slick local co-op, and a custom level editor. HyperDot launches first on Xbox One and PC in 2019.
“Every time I introduce HyperDot to new players, I sum up the game in two words: ‘dodge everything.’ Usually people laugh. Then they say ‘It can’t be that simple’ — and in a way they’re right. The goal is straightforward, but reaching that goal is not,” explains Charles McGregor, HyperDot creator. “HyperDot was born while procrastinating on a class project. I showed it to some friends and they encouraged me to explore further. Next thing I knew, I’d poured three years into perfecting it. I’m proud to release it.”
Key features of HyperDot:
- TRIALS: Single-player campaign presents 100+ levels that challenge players’ dodging finesse and puzzle-solving skills.
- BETTER WITH FRIENDS: Local co-op play features an elegant drop-in / drop-out system that gets up to four players battling with no fuss.
- CUSTOMIZATION: More than 1 million enemy, arena, and modifier combinations mean players can calibrate their perfect challenge (or never play the same game twice).
- ACCESSIBILITY: To promote play without compromise, HyperDot features color-blind mode and full gameplay support with seven unique controllers, including the Xbox Adaptive Controller and eye-tracking technology.
